Our Workshops

Strategies for Hybrid and E-Learning
It needs strategy and intentionality to stay engaged and present while working/schooling online. Learn numerous ways to engage yourself so you can get the most out of your digital education.
College 101
Our College 101 session can be personalized to the requirements of the class, with subjects such as substance use harm reduction, dating safety/consent, life skills, self-advocacy, and how to identify on-campus mental health services among the possibilities.

When used incorrectly, social media can be harmful to our health. This program encourages participants to debate the best ways to communicate digitally, including how to distinguish between our “offline” and “online” personas and how to avoid misuse and hazards.
Employment Services
We help support at-risk youth, ages 16-24, with an integrated approach to employment opportunities through job training, life skills, career advising, and social emotional support. Apply with the Illinois Youth Investment Program.
Stress & Anxiety Workshop
Recognize the warning signals when stress and worry turn into anxiety and require more help. Learn anxiety management techniques.
Mindfulness Workshop
Take a moment to do a mindfulness or body scan exercise and talk about the advantages of these techniques.
Depression Workshops
Students will study the signs and symptoms of depression, how stigma affects depression, and what to do if depressive symptoms are discovered in this program.
Healthy Relationships Workshop
This course will cover the stages of romantic relationships, conflict resolution techniques, and retaining one’s sense of self in a relationship. Make your relationship a healthy one.

Therapy Services

Haven provides a wide range of services to its residents. We provide prevention services to help our clients avoid problems before they arise, as well as intervention services to help them once a problem has been recognized.

While the majority of the services we provide fall into one of these categories, “help” means something different to each adolescent or family who comes to us. Because of these differences, we ensure that our services are tailored to the specific needs of the clients we serve.
